Planning Committee Update

 After being approved by the Planning Commission and City        Council  a new  Dunkin Donuts  will  be  built at  the corner  of Delores & Snow Road.     Construction is scheduled to begin in late summer.      

The Planning Commission approved site building plans to construct 14 new single family slab homes on a new street to be built off Engle Road opposite city hall. The area is being cleared where the new street is to be located. It will be a culdesac. The street will be called Englewood Lane. (Photos Below)
         On Brookpark Road, the RTA Station Renovation Project will begin its design phase this year and and construction in 2008.      The long awaited Goody’s Family Restaurant has been completed and is certainly a nice addition to the area. (see below)
         Another long time Snow Road business has undergone a complete renovation. The Arby’s at Snow and Michael was razed and a totally new, modern structure has replaced the old building. It has quickly been reopened. Taco Bell  has completed construction of its new new facility.  (see below)

Soon, across the street a small drive-thru coffee stand called Bear Creek is planned near Bally’s Total Fitness Center.
         Phase  two of Fast Park Parking across from Ford near Engle Road is under way. About 904 additional parking spots will be added to the existing 1500.  Seven new homes have been built and four have already been sold.
          A lot consolidation and rezoning of three parcels into one at Snow & Michael where the Urgicare facility is located was approved by council in November. This action would allow for the possibility of retail as well as future medical facilities.
             Metro Toyota’s request to expand their vehicle services facility at 13775 Brookpark Road by 20,000 sq. feet was approved by the Planning Commission. The addition will be constructed with brick and masonry to match the existing facility.
             At the December 5, 2007 Planning Commission meeting a request for a building plan was approved for a drive thru pharmacy at 14650 Snow Road (Giant Eagle)  It is completed and is  located at the southeast corner where the video area was located. Additional remodeling is currently taking place inside the store.
